Clauses 53-57 & Appendix 5 · Holiday & special leave

Holiday & Special Leave

25 days' holiday plus public holidays, paid at your average earnings - plus bereavement and paternity leave provisions.

Holiday pay estimator

Holiday pay is calculated on average earnings over the previous 52 weeks - base pay, shift pay, overtime premiums, milestone bonus and taxable travel allowances. Sickness absence is neutral in this average (it doesn't pull your average down).

Include base pay, shift pay, overtime premiums, milestone bonus and taxable travel allowances.

Out of your 25-day annual entitlement (190 hours), not counting public holidays.

This is a simplified average (your entered weekly figure divided by your normal working days), not a full 52-week recalculation. Your payroll will apply the exact averaging rule in Clause 54.

Holiday entitlement

  • 25 normal working days (190 hours) plus public holidays.
  • The Client may fix up to 10 days' holiday around public holidays (e.g. Christmas and New Year).
  • Work on a public holiday is paid at Overtime Rate B, plus an additional day's holiday in lieu.
  • Non-fixed holiday timing is agreed between you and your contractor, as far in advance as possible.
